Jeff Does New Zealand

We landed in New Zealand after many hours of travel. A plague on the houses of all those who lean their seats back in coach.
Enough said.

New Zealand is nice. The sun is bright. I rented a bicycle and road to the beach. The south pacific is pretty. If I squinted, I think I could almost see the Hoh Rain Forest. The birds and trees are different here. There are rhodedendrons and azaleas, which are familiar, but there are also many interesting pines (pinus radiata, if I recall, was a very neat specimen). There are lots of hardwoods, including big elms. Christchurch is a very pretty city. The Kiwis can be proud of it.
